Automobile insurance is insurance provided for all kinds of vehicles whose main use is to offer financial protection against physical damage to the automobiles, resulting from collisions, weather conditions, human errors and various other natural & man-made causes. Insurance companies also provide accident cover for vehicle owners, passengers and third party legal liability. The dataset chosen for the project deals with vehicle insurance claims. According to SAS a leading data analytics organization, including analytics into ‘insurance claims processing data’ can significantly improve the revenue of the insurance companies. With the usage of data analytics, insurance companies no longer need to rely only upon gut feeling, experience and limited information. One major application of data analytics in vehicle insurance domain is to identify fraudulent claims and better decision making. The primary goal of the project is to extract a story out of the dataset to make better business decisions. Story contains descriptive analysis using various graphical representations.
